Timberlake y Beyoncé dominan las nominaciones a los premios
Nueva York, EU.- Justin Timberlake y Beyoncé son los favoritos, con siete nominaciones cada uno, de la próxima entrega de premios MTV a los mejores videos musicales que este año tendrá lugar el próximo nueve de septiembre en Las Vegas, Nevada.
Gracias a su éxito What Goes Around... Comes Around, el ex integrante del grupo N’Sync aspira a recibir, entre otras, estatuillas al Mejor Video del Año, Mejor Artista Masculino y Mejor Director.
Por su parte, Beyoncé también compite en la categoría de Video del Año y Mejor Artista Femenina por Irreplaceable, además fue nominada por su dueto con la colombiana Shakira en Beautiful Liar en las categorías de Mejor Coreografía, Mejor Dirección y Mejor Edición de un video.
Tras ellos, Kanye West y Rihanna consiguieron cinco nominaciones, seguidos por la británica Amy Winehouse con tres, mientras que West con Stronger y Rihanna con Umbrella competirán también por el premio más codiciado, el de Video del Año.
El rapero también luchará en las categorías de Mejor Artista Masculino y Mejor Director, mientras que la cantante dará batalla en los apartados de Mejor Artista Femenina, Mejor Sencillo y Mejor Director, entre otros.
Por su parte, la nueva diva inglesa del soul Amy Winehouse competirá con Rehab por los premios a Mejor Video, Mejor Artista Nuevo y Mejor Artista Femenina.
Para completar la categoría al Mejor Video del Año han sido nominados el dúo electrónico francés Justice por su tema D.A.N.C.E.
El ganador de la categoría al Mejor Artista Nuevo será elegido por los fans, que pueden votar por sus favoritos a través de internet.
Fergie, Nelly Furtado, Lily Allen, U2, Linkin Park, Maroon 5 y White Stripes son otros de los artistas nominados en una gala en la que actuarán Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Amy Winehouse, Fall Out Boy, Lily Allen y Foo Fighters, entre otros.
