Un accidente aéreo ocurrido en Massachusetts, Estados Unidos, terminó en la muerte del piloto Scott Landis, un oficial de la Guardia Nacional del Ejército.
De acuerdo con la cadena NBC de Boston, Landis piloteaba su nave con el fin de esparcir en el aire las cenizas de su padre recientemente fallecido.
De regreso para aterrizar el motón de la avioneta, una Aeronca 7 Champion, comenzó a fallar. La aeronave cayó en un lago y Landi lamentablemente falleció por el impacto mientras su hermano, que viajaban con él, resultó herido de gravedad.
